Musicismost was formed in Chiswick, London in the summer of 2020. Lead singer and song writer Maniacal Honker said: “All of the band members have been involved in the music industry over the last 20 years but none of us have ever been in a rock band…..until now!!! Also, the guys have been working in non-musical jobs all this time to pay their bills! This is their first (and last!) attempt at trying to make a living from music! Otherwise, it’s back to washing dishes!!!” Their first single Pheromone Too was released on November 17th , 2020 and has already gained around 100,000 streams and 17,000 followers on Spotify since its release. This song sheds light on pheromones - the invisible aromas that we cannot smell, detect or notice, but seem to affect our lives considerably. The band are currently recording the video that will accompany their debut song, that will star "Cutey" and "Beary" ... video launch date is coming soon!
This song is the first single of five that will be released over the next few months, with an album release in mid 2021. EZ REVIEW: Do you smell it? I smell it and it smells violent. Its musky aroma is tangible, its thick tang is overwhelming and its animalistic scent will forcefully clear your sinuses... It must be Pheromone Too by Musicismost. Now let me tell you this straight away... This kind of hard rock music is the kind of hard rock music that will crawl up inside your grandma’s nose and cause a stroke or heart-attack (in a good way of course). From the first riff to the final snare, Pheromone Too never slows down and never gives the consumer a moment of fresh air to breathe. At its core, this is exactly what good metal songs do best. Even though Pheromone Too can be easily classed as “rock”, It’s difficult to pin down the exact influence as it’s subtle diversities leave an underlining perfume reminiscent of bands such as ZZ Top, Alice Cooper, Faith No More, Foo Fighters, and Queen (just to name a few). From a lyrical perspective, Pheromones Too is evocatively structured in a fashion similar to Frank Zappa’s “I’m The Slime”... you know what I mean... it’s vile, pernicious, obsessed, and deranged. Although many may be pushed back by the ludicrously lovely and aggressive metal sounds, I urge you to take note of the poetic nature which fumigates this track. Now I must say this very clearly... If a hard riff and heavy metal aftertastes isn't your cup of tea, then maybe you shouldn’t dine in at the Musicismost cafe. Then again, maybe you should take a sip see what you think... I mean shit... this really is a cocktail beverage of freedom and passion which has been masterfully brewed in a vat of fermented creativity.
