Opening the cookie jar to BOX TURTLE's new EP "Chocolate Chip Mothership"

The modern era of music has given way to enigmas and artists of all shapes and forms who break the norm of what we have come to expect as far as what an artist truly is. Box Turtle is one such musical project that epitomizes the essence of the modern era. A multi-talented instrumentalist, songwriter, recording engineer and vocalist born and raised in Stillwater, Oklahoma and currently based in Leander, TX. Dalton and his singing wife Lindsay, the duo that is Box Turtle, are making music that is thoughtful, conscious and driven by a desire to motivate, inspire, comfort and spread joy to all those that hear it.

Box Turtle has had a vast array of musical influences, however they accredit the pivotal influences in the music to mainly classic rock based artists such as Simon and Garfunkel, The Beatles, The Byrds and Neil Young. This all culminates in Box Turtle producing a musical experience that is enjoyable, easy going and fun but still seeks to provoke thought. Dalton ultimately developed a style of indie-rock/indie-folk songwriting that is transparent, daring, full of hope and reflective of his experiences, thoughts and ambitions, turning pain into purpose and lessons into studio sessions. Through Box Turtle, together he and Lindsay use music as a vehicle to express perspectives and tell stories. The overarching ambition is to make people feel a sense of awe about themselves and this life we share together. It’s a metaphysical message of love and oneness of all things.

Box Turtle currently has a 2019 album dubbed “Over the Moon" and they will be releasing their latest EP titled "The Chocolate Chip Mothership EP” in February that will showcase their smooth vocals and authentic lyricism in a uniquely constructed piece of musical artistry. This is the music that will push the boundaries of our perception as well as inspire and drive us to introspective conversations.
